16 آذار 1977: اغتيال رئيس الحزب التقدمي الإشتراكي كمال جنبلاط وإلقاء اللوم على السوريين. وفي حزيران 2005 صرّح جورج حاوي بأن رفعت الأسد كان وراء عملية الاغتيال.

  March 16th, 1977: The assassination of the founder of the Progressive Socialist Party Kamal Jumblatt and the blame of Syrians. In June 2005 George Hawi said Rifaat Al-Assad was behind the assassination.
