Surrender is never the tool to create stability in any country, in-fact, it’s the fastest rout to war and destruction for two main reasons:
First, the surrendering party will feel overpowered, thus rebelling sooner or later.
Second, such situations will often lead the more powerful party to become corrupt and abusive, which in turn will create a state of chaos.
Reaching the final stages of stability can only be achieved by having a strong and independent state, until we get there, we will never allow any attempt against our country’s sovereignty for the sake of the public interest.
The equation is not either war or surrender, but protecting our stability and sovereignty without engaging in a war, and this is the exact policy our government is currently applying, especially after the decision to disassociate Lebanon from surrounding turmoil.
To implement this policy, the government took practical action with militia leader Sheikh Kasem Al Khazaali by issuing an arrest warrant and alerting local authorities.
This warrant was issued by State prosecutor judge Samir Hammoud after investigations revealed that Khazaali illegally entered Lebanese territories.
This can only prove that our government is indeed capable of handling all security matters on it’s own and that practical measures are enough to prevent future threats.
This indeed is the beginning of a series of victories for the Lebanese government.
