Control should be exclusive for the government

What is certain on today’s political scene is the election, while all other files change with the moment, the main topic today is the electoral file, which was launched strongly this week by declaring both Amal movement and Hezbollah the names of their candidates.

The announcement of candidates is a detail in the face of the ongoing negotiations to finalize alliances, what proves this, is that no coalition has yet emerged. Most of the political forces are continuing their talks, and the issue is not as simple as some might believe, because the situation in one electoral district may not apply to another, and the intersection with a team may block the way of a junction with another one, and so on.

If most political parties often wait until the last minute to form their alliances or wait for others to make up their minds, the upcoming weeks will clarify the picture that is still vague until now.

In parallel, the government started a series of budget sessions, while the United States has not yet succeeded in tackling the oil dispute between Lebanon and Israel. This dispute led Hassan Nasrallah to say: “the only force that the Lebanese have in this battle is the resistance”.

Nasrallah’s speech was widely condemned, because the only force the Lebanese have is the Lebanese army exclusively, and the decision on the oil file and every file concern the Lebanese government alone, and the strength of Lebanon is in its state and its institutions only.
