Saudi-Lebanese news has topped headlines this week, from the Saudi diplomatic visit to Beirut to Hariri’s visit to Riyadh, and news will continue to circulate about these events’ tangible results, proving the importance of the Saudi role in Lebanon and the region.
In parallel to this, more candidates are running for the elections and more will run in the next few days with the deadline approaching. Although alliances are being formed on all fronts, the final image is still unclear even with time running out. Only when the alliances are finalized, the political tension will dramatically rise as the public will be given clear options, fixed electoral lists, full political programs, and massive campaigns.
The election is the only true opportunity to achieve the needed change, it’s a chance that should not be missed because it’s the single national interest that guarantees the sustainable solutions people are calling for.
