The Lebanese Forces does not object nor comply for the love of it, but it does so in accordance with its national, political and state vision. Hence, the Lebanese Forces does not object for personal, vengeful reasons, nor does it comply to suit its benefits.
On the other hand, the Lebanese Forces does not blame some of the political parties, who criticize its manner of dealing with public affairs because these same parties have, sadly, gotten accustomed to political petulance as well as the act of objecting to make others fail or to blackmail their way back to a place from which they have been excluded, and the act of adhering to a stance for personal benefits. Therefore, it is only natural for these parties to criticize the Lebanese Forces, when there is a significant contrast between a view based on a principle and another based on a personal interest; between a practice that does not reflect the slogans these parties proclaim, and a practice which translates slogans into effective action on the ground.
To these parties, the Lebanese Forces asserts that it will neither change its beliefs nor its practices, and it is not affected by objections nor oppositions; for the Lebanese Forces’ history is based on confrontations in order to defend Lebanon, its sovereignty, the state and the people. Thus, any cooperation with the Lebanese Forces takes place through the constitution and the law.
There is no doubt that what caused this state of panic and fuss are the people who support the Lebanese Forces, and those who stand at its side which exemplifies trust. Trust which has been woefully lost as a result of vindictive and selfish practices that toppled the law, institutions, and the people’s rights and dignity.
