Congratulations to the Lebanese people for having a new parliament, congratulations to democracy for prevailing, and congratulations to the Lebanese Forces for succeeding in being widely supported and represented in parliament. Achieving this delegation has a few reasons.
First, the electoral law for which the Lebanese Forces fought long and hard since 1992, the old laws were kept for so long so that the Lebanese Forces specifically wouldn’t be truly represented.
Second, political clarity, the Lebanese public is fed up with unstable policies and grey positions based on personal benefits, the Lebanese Forces is clear, a “yes” is a “yes” and “no” means “no”. The Lebanese Forces acts upon its decisions, and the public voted based on that.
Third, political accumulation, the Lebanese Forces did not reach its achievements by coincidence, it achieved everything through hard work, and a long history of struggle.
In parallel to the mentioned reasons, we can not disregard the size of the Lebanese Forces’ parliamentary delegation, which will be translated governmentally, on the road to building the strong republic.
The elections sorted the Christian votes mainly between the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement, in addition to small groups and independent figures, and talks about a group being bigger than the other is nothing but nonsense, keeping in mind that one group lead the elections based on services and false promises, and another based on hard, and transparent work, the second group has delegates sharing the same vision and political views, on the contrary to the first.
And finally, there is no doubt that all attention will now shift to the formation of the new government and the nomination of ministers.
