أقال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب وزير الدفاع مارك إسبر، وعين  مدير المركز الوطني لمكافحة الإرهاب، كريستوفر ميلر، قائماً بأعمال وزير الدفاع بأثر فوري​.
