The Lebanese people have become well informed
We in the Lebanese Forces believe that any minister who believes in the project of the state is close to us. We hope that the government will be established in the coming days and will be proof that no one can be excluded.
Several developments have occurred since the last government’s adoption of its plan of action. Security Council Resolution 1701 was adopted, and there is an international force deployed in South Lebanon. We cannot disregard these developments and go back to the previous government’s plan of action.
The issue of weapons is no longer a red line, because they have been used to kill innocent people. The only red line is around these people’s souls.
The Lebanese Forces is not seeking shares in the government, but will be represented there according to the size of its popular support. Our flexibility in this regard does not mean our exclusion. Our allies recognize our size, and our opponents are aware of it.
Let no one think that through lies and challenges he can sway the public opinion in his favor for the legislative elections. The Lebanese people have become well informed.
The naming of Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea for the government means that the LF has offered the best it has. There may yet be a change in this position under popular pressure, because this government is not including all key figures. Our comrade, Imad Wakim, was nominated to be in the coming government.
