Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea pleaded with President Michel Suleiman to sponsor a conference on national dialogue to tackle the deteriorating security situation.
Geagea, addressing a press conference, also urged security agencies and the judiciary to protect the people.
He said Hizbullah”s views as outlined by its officials are "very serious."
"The Hizbullah state monitors each Lebanese community and every Lebanese citizen and acts, by force, against any person or any community," Geagea stressed.
Free Patriotic Movement leader Michel Aoun, according to Geagea, is the "main obstacle" preventing the formation of a new cabinet.
"Aoun believes he is the sole representative of the Christians … and all Christian parties should adapt," Geagea said.
Aoun”s concept of politics, according to Geagea, is to "try destroying the political approach of his foe. All his efforts have resulted in destruction, trouble and attempts to create new realities."
