MP Hajjar ties cabinet delay to regional events
MP Mohammed Hajjar of the Future bloc said the opposition’s parliamentary blocs abided by the rules of obstruction and disruption, and aimed at delaying the formation of a cabinet.
Hajjar accused the opposition of imposing their conditions on the Lebanese to secure political gains, parliamentary quotas and ministerial positions.
“The disruption that governs Hezbollah’s work … reflects the party’s belief that the Doha agreement was to curtail its objectives, and that the agreement laid out internal balances and equations that were not commensurate with what [Hezbollah] aspires to,” he added.
MP Hajjar pointed out that attempts at obstruction could not be separated from regional events, particularly recent Syrian – Israeli negotiations and the regional influence of Iran.
