Mitri: Cabinet policy Statement would Take some Time
Information Minister Tareq Mitri said on Tuesday that a committee assigned to work out the new cabinet”s policy statement would take some time before reaching a final draft.
Mitri, after a lengthy session for the committee, said "advancement has been made in drafting the statement but there are some issues that need to be tackled in precision".
"The mission would be accomplished tomorrow or the day after… it would take some time," Metri added.
The committee has agreed to keep the content of its discussions confidential and away from media to secure success in its mission.
Metri has said on Monday that topics for discussion, according to Mitri, include "Lebanon”s right to liberate its land, Lebanon”s Arab relations and spreading state authority."
The discussion is based on principles included in the Doha and Taif accords, Mitri added.
