MP Zahra says opposition’s actions prove its desire to obstruct
MP Antoine Zahra of the Lebanese Forces told the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Monday that the March 8 forces are proving that their insistence on having the vetoing third in the parliament was aimed at obstruction.
Zahra also said there will be a big problem in drafting the ministerial statement “if March 8 is not modest enough” with its demands.
“The March 8 forces know very well they can’t impose their vision over the others under the threat of keeping their arsenal,” Zahra said.
“Hezbollah’s attempts to pressure March 14 to agree on the formula it suggested are out of place,” Zahra added.
He also said that March 14 cannot drop the important project of the state in order to satisfy some figures or groups, “especially after the opposition’s abuse of the ministerial statement in 2005.”
