Ministerial statement tomorrow or the day after
MP Ahmad Fatfat, of Future Bloc, said Wednesday that he expects the completion of the ministerial statement “today or tomorrow”, since “everyone wants a solution”.
He added his assurances that the March 14 collation remains unified in its aims for the statement.
In a radio interview to Voice of Lebanon Fatfat said that the issue of weapons was one topic of dialogue.
However, he emphasized that although: “It is normal for [this issue] to remain to be discussed in the dialogue,” such dialogue was fruitless if some parties sought to impose their point of view on others.
In response to MP Michel Aoun, who linked the issue of Hezbollah’s arms and the return of refugees, he said that Aoun’s praise of Hezbollah concerning its weapons: “defies logic”.
Fatfat also expressed astonishment at talk of the possible defection of MP Walid Jumblatt from the March 14 collation.
