Challenges in store for Government, says Mufti Qabbani
Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani said Tuesday that the adoption of the ministerial statement by consensus confirms the authority of the state and its institutions over Lebanon.
“The principle of ministerial solidarity,” said Qabbani, “is essential for the work of the government to overcome challenges, foremost among them the social, employment and economic conditions and the reduction of taxes burdening citizens in sectors where the productivity has been low in the past months and years because of the heightened political crisis.”
Mufti Qabbani also called on the government to start rebuilding Lebanon once it has won a vote of confidence in parliament.
He added that the Lebanese people should consolidate the role of the state so that it can provide security, peace and reassurance for the country and its citizens.
