Sfeir Warns Against Repeating Mistakes
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir on Sunday warned against persisting differences, emphasizing on the need to unite "hearts and wills … to avoid falling into what we had fallen into."
Sfeir”s remark appeared tantamount to warning against renewed civil strife in Lebanon.
"It is wise to avoid evil before it falls among us," Sfeir said in his Sunday sermon at his summer seat in Diman.
He declared support for efforts aimed at allowing Lebanese expatriates to take part in the 2009 parliamentary elections.
