Chamoun is confident of victory in 2009 elections
Leader of the National Liberal Party Dory Chamoun said that he was confident that the March 14 alliance would emerge victorious in the 2009 parliamentary elections, and he called on all members of the alliance to campaign with “high morals.”
“The voter must distinguish between those who work for personal interests and those who work for national interests,” Chamoun said during a sporting event in Dbayeh on Monday.
Chamoun accused the opposition of “creating constitutional tricks to improve their chances in the elections.”
He also said that any electoral failure on the part of March 14 would create a dangerous situation.
