Egyptian foreign minister deliberates Israeli threats
The leader of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, said that Egypt had done its best on the issue of Israeli threats against Lebanon. Geagea said efforts to resolve the issue in the United Nations Security Council must be maintained.
After meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abu al-Gheit on Wednesday, Geagea said the two had discussed “Lebanon’s internal situation and the Middle East situation in general.”
However, Geagea said they had not talked about “electoral redistricting or the national dialogue…We understand Egypt’s concern for security and this visit had an economic value.”
