Baroud Wants More Answers About the Sujud Attack
Interior Minister Ziad Baroud said the attack by Hizbullah fighters on a Lebanese Army helicopter requires "interpretations, not justifications."
"We also want details," Baroud said in a radio interview, which indicates that the judiciary has not been allowed to interrogate Hizbullah fighters who were in the Sujud southern region where the chopper was attacked on Thursday.
Hizbullah turned over one suspect to the judiciary saying he was the person who opened fire at the helicopter.
The issue, Baroud said, is linked to the Army”s "morale."
He said the judiciary would "follow up the case to the maximum." He did not elaborate on the remark.
