Elections will define the fate of Lebanon and Christian Community
Environment Minister Antoine Karam said that honest discussions, during the upcoming roundtable dialogue that will be presided over by President Michel Sleiman, would affirm the powerful role of the Lebanese state.
Speaking during a dinner organized by the Lebanese Forces in Faraya, Karam called for the use of weapons to be restricted to legitimate military institutions in order to prevent further casualties.
Karam added that the 2009 parliamentary elections will define the fate of Lebanon and its Christian community. He called on the Lebanese people to carry out their responsibilities, and to vote for candidates who would preserve the country’s independence and dignity.
