Draft law assigning the Aridi case to the Judicial Council has been prepared
In a statement released on Friday, Minister of Justice Ibrahim Najjar said that at President Michel Sleiman’s urging, and after Prime Minister Fouad Siniora’s approval, a law had been prepared, which would assign the investigation into the Wednesday night assassination of Sheikh Saleh Aridi to the Judicial Council. Najjar said that cabinet will vote on the new law during their next meeting.
