Mufti Qabbani calls for radical solution to conflicts
Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani expressed his concern about the dangerous conflicts in different areas of Lebanon, particularly in Beirut, which he said were going unreported in newspapers.
He called for talking a radical approach to solving the conflicts to prevent further clashes and tension.
He called on the army and the Internal Security Forces to end the deterioration of the security situation once and for all, to be more firm and decisive, and hand over the suspects in past incidents to the authorities.
Mufti Qabbani affirmed his resolve to support the state’s legitimate institutions, which he said were the only parties responsible for preserving security in the country.
He called on all political leaders and parties to carry out their responsibilities and cooperate during the national dialogue sessions, set to resume in November.
