Intra-Christian Disputes Challenging, National Will Ensures Successful Settlement
Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel on Tuesday said settling intra-Christian disputes is not an easy task but "a settlement would be reached as long as there is a national will for that."
The Nasrallah-Hariri meeting is "a first step along the march to achieve national reconciliation," Gemayel told reporters after receiving a delegation representing the Maronite League.
In answering a question as to whether he is ready to meet Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Gemayel said: "Hizbullah is a Lebanese faction … that is why it is necessary to maintain contact with each other. We are in the same boat."
