Submit Damascus Terrorist Cell to International Commission
Head of the Lebanese Forces Executive Council Samir Geagea suggested on Friday for members of the “terrorist cell” arrested in Syria to be investigated by the International Independent Investigation Commission (IIIC) to discover the truth behind all the crimes committed in Lebanon and Syria.
After meeting with Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir in Bkirki, he added that the timing of the cell’s announcement was aimed at responding to Future Movement leader MP Saad Hariri, when he said that Syria was the source of terrorism.
He said that the interlocutors over the roundtable dialogue had different opinions concerning the defense strategy and that he will propose his own vision during the next dialogue session, and announced that he had restrictions over Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun’s proposal.
He affirmed that the issue of expanding the dialogue was no longer under discussion.
He added that March 14 coalition might announce the names of the lists of candidates on the commemoration of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri’s assassination on February 14.
