Rocket-Launching At Israel Aims To Harm Lebanon Not Israel
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Wednesday said only the creation of an independent Palestinian state would prevent the naturalization of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Geagea was apparently responding to remarks by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri during a conference for Asian parliamentarians in Turkey.
Berri said earlier in the day that if the resistance was defeated (in Gaza) then the naturalization of Palestinians becomes "fait accompli."
Geagea also criticized the "cowardly act of firing rockets from south Lebanon."
He said the unidentified faction that fired the rockets towards Israel "aims at damaging Lebanon and not Israel."
If Israel attacked Lebanon, Geagea said: "We would all be with the government to defend Lebanon."
