MPs to resume talks on illegal wiretapping
Parliament”s Media and Telecommunications Committee is expected to resume discussions of illegal wiretapping on Thursday amid reports that an investigative committee, which will include members of the judiciary, could be formed to deal with the issue.
As-Safir newspaper quoted legislative sources as saying the committee on Thursday will hear the testimonies of leaders of security agencies involved in the thorny issue.
Speaker Nabih Berri told the newspaper that he would decide what steps to take in the wiretapping case after the committee”s meeting.
