Geagea Assures Lebanese: We Won”t Abandon You
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Saturday assured the Lebanese that March 14 Forces will not abandon them.
"Don”t worry, we are with you. We will not leave the country hanging in the air," Geagea told a rally in Martyrs” Square to commemorate the 4th anniversary of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri”s assassination.
Geagea warned that the government is threatened of being toppled again "on the hands of those who seek to achieve one”s desires."
"History shall have mercy on no one. Time has come for the international tribunal," he said.
"Our nation was ripped off. All negotiations concerning Lebanon used to take place in Damascus. Leaders and governments were appointed from there, too," the LF leader reminded the Lebanese.
Geagea accused the March 8 alliance of "hiding" behind the wiretapping law.
"Their latest invention was to hide behind the wiretapping law to prevent security services from doing their job," he said.
"We shall never kneel," Geagea vowed. "We shall achieve that last scene of the March 14 dream."
