Lebanon Situation Critical
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir on Tuesday said the situation in Lebanon is critical and requires a lot of awareness and flexibility.
Sfeir criticized the declining political rhetoric and unethical behavior.
"This is why we wanted to point it out before it becomes worse and difficult to get rid of," Sfeir said in a message on the occasion of the beginning of the fasting period.
"No doubt the government is facing many obstacles due to the poor performance of those in charge of it," Sfeir said.
He believed globalization "alone" cannot make peace.
"In many cases, globalization has caused splits and conflicts," Sfeir warned.
