Kuwait”s FM Relays Message from Emir to Suleiman
Kuwait”s foreign minister delivered a message from Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah to President Michel Suleiman during a surprise visit to Beirut on Thursday.
FM Sheikh Mohammed al-Salem al-Sabah arrived in Lebanon after Thursday”s landmark visit to Iraq, the first for a high level Kuwaiti official since the 1990 Iraqi invasion on Kuwait, the official Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) said.
KUNA said the message relayed to Suleiman is related to "the implementation and follow up of decisions made during the Arab Economic Summit" which took place in Kuwait in January.
Sheikh Mohammed was met at the International Rafik Hariri Airport by his Lebanese counterpart Fawzi Salloukh and Kuwait”s ambassador to Lebanon Abdul Aal al-Kanaei.
