US delivers ammunition to Lebanese army
Earlier this week, the United States government delivered to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) over 1,300 rounds of ammunition for the 105 millimeter main guns of the LAF”s M-48 and M-60 tanks earlier this week, according to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Lebanon on Wednesday.
"This substantial ammunition delivery is part of the multi-year, continuous, robust US security assistance program to the LAF. The program includes modern weapons, vehicles, communication devices, and advanced training. Since 2006, the US has provided to the LAF over 12 million rounds of ammunition of all calibers totaling over 2,150 tons," the statement said.
