"Forever Green" Campaign Gets $200,000 in Donations
Lebanon”s Interior Ministry received Tuesday $200,000 worth of donations to purchase fire-extinguishing helicopters as part of the government”s "Forever Green" campaign.
Minister Ziad Baroud received the sum of $100,000 from representatives of the Lebanese community in Qatar.
Later, a delegation from Lebanon”s Administration for Tobacco and Tombac (Regie) donated $50,000 as a contribution to the campaign during a meeting with Baroud. The rest of the amount, $100,000, was granted by Bank of Beirut and the Arab World.
