Arab reconciliations won’t affect electoral alliances
Kataeb party leader Amine Gemayel expected that ongoing Arab reconciliations have a positive impact on Lebanon. He denied to the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Thursday that such reconciliations impact negatively the electoral alliances. However, he regretted ongoing debates over the northern Metn lists formations, calling on all parties to stop them.
Gemayel also stated that the list is not finalized yet, and the names of candidates either, saying that Tachnag party is trying to divide its voters between the two rival lists, which hampers the formation of the list. He noted that intensive talks with Tachnag will be held hours later to make the image clearer in the upcoming days. He concluded that “if it (the Tachnag) doesn’t respond, then there will be two complete lists”.
