Movement of Belonging Announces Election Candidates
The Lebanese Belonging Movement on Sunday announced its candidates who will be running in the June 7 parliamentary elections.
It said Ahmed al-Asaad and Murhin Ramadan will be running for the Shiite seat in the Marjeyoun-Hasbaya constituency, while Elias Abu Rizk for the Greek Orthodox seat in the same district.
Running for the Shiite seats also are Rabah Abi Haidar and Ali Mhanna in Jbeil, Ali al-Amin in Tyre and Zein Khalife in Zahrani.
In the Baalbek-Hermel constituency, six candidates are running for the Shiite seat. They are: Rifaat al-Masri, Mohammed Sulleiman Haidar, Abul Kheir Shahine, Mohammed Sobhi Yaghi, Riad Zoeiter and Mufdil Alu.
The group”s leader Ahmed Asaad described upcoming elections as "crucial."
