I Am Still on March 14″s Path
National Bloc leader Carlos Edde assured that he his ideas are still in conformity with March 14, saying "I am still on the same path."
"I express the ambitions of those who have gone down to Martyr Square since the Cedar Revolution," said Edde after meeting with Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir on Wednesday in Bkirki.
During the meeting the two discussed Edde”s candidacy in Kesrouan and the reasons behind his decision to run in the area.
He explained that "the National Bloc has a large presence [in Kesrouan] with many families and personalities that have a prominent place" in the region.
He went on to say that a person”s nomination "is not to take someone”s spot, rather to include his voice among the many voices in an attempt to find… dialogue between two political lines."
He concluded by saying that "sovereignty means the sovereignty of the Lebanese state which controls all of its lands."
