War starts when one party violates constitution, laws
Head of the Lebanese Forces Executive Council Samir Geagea met with a delegation from Offre Joie (Joy of Giving) association on Monday and said that no one wanted war.
“War starts when one party violates the constitution, the laws” and the accepted modes of political action, he added.
Geagea also said the Lebanese civil war actually started in 1968 when some Palestinian armed groups started setting up check points in several regions, which heightened the political rhetoric back then.
He called on voters to make the right decision to prevent the return of war, because “they have to choose between the political parties that support the war and those that support peace.”
Those who object to Lebanese laws should express their disagreement in a peaceful manner, he said.
