Harb thanks Raad for revealing opposition’s intentions and plans
MP Boutros Harb said on Sunday that he thanks Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad for revealing the opposition’s intentions and plans in his statement that the current Lebanese cabinet needs to be replaced, just as the cabinets of former US President George Bush and former Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert.
He also thanked Raad for his “honesty because he clarified the opposition’s intentions and plans.” Harb said those plans and intentions will pull the country back to chaos.
Harb urged voters during a political meeting in the northern village of Douma to focus on the programs on projects of the candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections instead of their names. He called on the voters to use their judgment and choose between establishing a strong sovereign state with weapons controlled by the Lebanese army, or a weak state with illegal weapons and states-within-a-state.
He said that the Christians in the March 14 alliance are campaigning to restore their position in the state and to consolidate the role of the presidency, whereas as the Christians of the March 8 alliance kept the presidency vacant for six months because Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun was aiming to become President. He said Aoun’s actions destroyed “the presidency as well as the Maronites and Christians.” Harb also criticized Aoun for rejecting the 10+10+10 formula for the formation of a cabinet proposed by the March 14 alliance.
