Lebanon to honour order to release Hariri suspects
Lebanon will obey an order from the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon to release four generals detained over the assassination of ex-premier Rafiq Hariri, its justice minister said on Wednesday.
"We followed the judge”s decision live," Ibrahim Najjar told France 24 television. "We will of course execute this decision immediately." Najjar said that the four generals, who had been held in Lebanon since August 30, 2005, would be released around 5:00 pm Lebanese time (1400 GMT).
