We Are Close to a Deal with Jamaa Islamiya
MP Saad Hariri on Wednesday said al-Mustaqbal Movement was nearing a deal with Jamaa Islamiya on the list of candidates in Beirut 3 to be announced Thursday.
"We are on the verge of sealing an agreement with Jamaa Islamiya. Tomorrow, the Jamaa”s candidate in Beirut, Imad al-Hout will be with us when we announce the ticket for Beirut 3," Hariri told visitors from the town of Saadnayel.
"The most important thing for us is to maintain unity in these important elections," he said, adding that March 14 has formed major alliances for that purpose.
Hariri underlined the significance of the elections saying the outcome will "determine the future of politics in Lebanon for a long period of time."
He called on Saadnayel voters to "elect the full list backed by Mustaqbal in central Bekaa."
