Veto power proved to be a failure
MP Boutros Harb said that a national unity cabinet should not be formed following the elections, because the current cabinet, based on granting the opposition the obstructing third vote, proved to be a failure.
He said that the cabinet’s failure to decide on appointments in its session yesterday [Wednesday] is proof of this failure.
In a statement he issued on Thursday, Harb also called for finalizing the administrational and Constitutional Council appointments because they are “vital” to the elections.
