Siniora discusses with Arab leaders steps to face Israeli extremism
Premier Fouad Siniora contacted Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and a number of Arab officials to discuss necessary steps to be taken on the Palestinian and Arab levels to confront "the new Israeli extremism," Al-Liwaa newspaper reported Tuesday.
Siniora emphasized the need to foster Palestinian unity, ending Fatah-Hamas conflicts and responding to Arab efforts, to form a Palestinian national unity cabinet. He also called on Arab officials to announce a unified stance against Israel and keep dialogue open with the US.
