Hizbullah MP says Syrian-Saudi talks stalled
Hizbullah MP Ali Fayyad said on Tuesday that Saudi-Syrian talks were currently stalled due to Egypt”s resentment of a rapprochement between the two countries.
"Saudi Arabia is no longer enthusiastic about resolving the Syria-Saudi thaw, due to Egypt”s resentment over the kingdom”s openness toward Damascus," Fayyad said, adding that the region”s political leaders should make "courageous decisions at this point in history."
Fayyad told OTV station on Tuesday that Hizbullah was not "ready to compromise" concerning the opposition”s share in the next cabinet. He hailed Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt”s recent "friendly stance toward Hizbullah."
