Constitution does not Compel Hariri
Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar told Future News on Tuesday that the Lebanese constitution does not oblige Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri to take all parties’ suggestions into consideration on the cabinet formation, since “he is the representative of the executive power.”
Najjar stressed that Hariri’s cabinet line-up was “constitutional,” adding that if he did not take such a step, “it would have been suggested that he is not fulfilling his duties.”
