PM-Designate Hariri Requested Consultations "Within Closed Doors" in "Clear and Franc Wording"
PM-designate Saad Hariri stressed on the necessity of forming a Cabinet that embodies the interests of all the Lebanese through a dialogue that will involve all political parties, and ought to be "within closed rooms."
Following his protocol meeting with caretaker PM Fouad Saniora, Hariri emphasized on the necessity of "a Cabinet lineup that will serve the interests of all the Lebanese and not the interest of one party or movement."
He went on saying, "We have to rely on ourselves and to build up the State institutions on the basis of implementing Taef”s Agreement. "
Regarding the dialogue, Hariri reiterated that he "is looking forward to having talks with all concerned parties", however, he requested that "no conditions" should precede any political talk and thoughts ought to be voiced "with franc and clear words," calling all political forces to consultations that would be kept away from the media.
Finally, he re-confirmed that the first proposed Cabinet was formed "in collaboration with President Suleiman," and described his meeting with General Aoun "serious and franc like with all former MPs."
On the following day after his re-appointment, Premier Hariri started his protocol round visiting former PMs and telephoned Nejib Miqati who is paying a visit to Saudi.
