99% of Saudi students want to stay in Lebanon

 

The Saudi Arabian cultural attach Ayman Moghrabi met with 110 Saudi students at the American University of Beirut, in the presence of AUB officials to discuss their security and living concerns following the announcement of travel advisory by the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

 

The Foreign Ministry last week urged all the Saudi nationals to leave Lebanon immediately.

 

Moghrabi told the students it is up to them to stay or leave and explained to them that the embassy will provide them with free travel arrangements to the kingdom and back and will handle all the financial arrangements with the University . The embassy also offered to transfer them to the AUB branch in Sharjah, UAE.

 

At the end of the discussions 99% of the students decided to stay in Lebanon and continue their studies at the AUB.

 

The AUB is one of the oldest universities universities in the Middle East and it is the most prominent . Many of the Arab world leaders are proud AUB graduates.
