Lay Off Christians” Back
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Wednesday congratulated St. Joseph University students on their election victory, saying elections took place "democratically."
March 14-affiliated students won elections at St. Joseph University on Tuesday, beating out rival candidates from the Opposition March 8 coalition.
Addressing St. Joseph University students, Geagea said: "Student results came out democratically at a minor-level. So you told them "bye-bye ya hilween," while we intend to tell them "bye-bye ya hilween at a major-level."
"But it”s not easy as they did not accept the results of the June 7 parliamentary elections, despite the presence of all election supervision committees," Geagea added.
"The importance of the victory achieved by the students is that a certain look of Lebanon won over another and it is important that those concerned hear the voice of the people," the LF boss stressed, calling on them to "stay off Christians” back
"Let them think about how to build Lebanon because Christians do not want to achieve gains but want to build a functioning state," Geagea pleaded.
