Sfeir Won”t Renounce Last Stances in “Al-Massira” Despite “Christian Demands”
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir stressed that he will not renounce his last stances, published in an interview with Al-Massira magazine last week, regarding Hizbullah”s arms and the parliamentary majority”s right to form the cabinet.
In new remarks to be published in the next Al-Massira issue, Sfeir said: "I will not renounce them (last stances) despite interventions, mainly Christian, to withdraw some parts of my interview with Al-Massira magazine or to issue a clarifying statement that softens or reconsiders some stances that I consider as constants and axioms."
