Phalange Party Pays in Blood, Others Reap the Fruits

Phalange Party leader, former president, Amin Gemayel stressed that there is injustice against his party and an incomplete form of representation in the new government, as if "Phalange”s mission is to pay in blood while others reap the fruits".

Gemayel was being interviewed by Al-Arabia TV network, he answered a question about his party”s withdrawal from March 14 by differentiating between the movement of March 14 that has the same principles as his party and the general-secretariat of this movement that is suffering from a certain defect.

Answering a question about President Suleiman”s visit to Syria, Gemayel stressed that his party supports the president so that he can succeed in his mission and political journey because he is the symbol of the nation.

Gemayel added that Suleiman”s trip to Syria was surprising, and answered a question about visiting Syria personally by saying "it is still early to discuss that, it is not considered at the time being."

"We were denied this portfolio before any statement related to history schoolbook," replied Gemayel to a question about the statement of his son MP Sami Gemayel on the national history schoolbook.

"We consider that holding a real national dialogue is better than a dialogue about the defensive strategy, there should exist a strategy to build the country," said Gemayel.

Answering a question about Hizbullah”s arms, Gemayel said that everyone should stand shoulder by shoulder to face Israel, and it was not just, efficient, or patriotic that the resistance be an exclusive right to one party.
