Arab-Israeli Peace Expectations Are Mere Illusions
Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat said that Israel”s decision, to build 900 new residential units in occupied East Jerusalem, presents new evidence that all expectations about a real settlement for the Arab-Israeli conflict are mere illusions.
"This is not new for Israel which has always achieved its Zionist plans at the expense of the Palestinian people and its legitimate rights," added Jumblat in an article in his party”s weekly Al Anbaa.
Jumblat stressed that the deadlock in the region is spreading as a sports game almost started a war between Egypt and Algeria that both had great national struggles in the past to achieve independence and freedom.
