Darwin argues that all species have evolved into what they are today instead of created the way they are, since then, evolutionary biologists around the world have been able to find evidence showing that life started from a single celled organism and evolved over billions of years to more complex beings, leading to mankind today.
According to science, all species evolve through a process called “Natural Selection” which is the process of adapting to the environmental changes around them, for instance, humans in cold, dry climates, such as Greenland or Siberia, evolved to have higher and narrower nasal cavities to enhance contact between the air and the mucosal tissue, which helps to warm and humidify the air they breath, while those from hot, humid climates, such as Papua New Guinea or Gabon evolved to have wider nasal cavities to help cool down their bodies.
Natural selection can also push a species to transform dramatically and become a species of it’s own over sheer amounts of time, let’s take primates as an example, all primates are descendants from the same ancestor, and all share more than 90% of their genes with each other. Humans and chimpanzees are 98.5% genetically identical, the genetic difference between a human and a chimpanzee is only 1.5% but each species evolved to have different traits.
Chimpanzees evolved to have physical strength and high endurance in the wild because they needed to protect themselves from predators, protect their territory and hunt, while humans evolved a higher mental power and a more economic body requiring less calories per day because their environment had less food due to changing climate and they needed to be smarter to survive.
The human species evolved from “Australopithecus Africanus” the first human dating back to about 4 million years, with a 600cc brain to the “Homo Sapiens” the humans of today with an average brain of 1400cc.
To keep things easy, and to avoid turning this article into a biology lesson, let’s get back to the point of the debate, science provides evidence that all beings, including humans have evolved from a single celled organism over 4.8 billion years and none of it requires a creator, while all religions agree that God created it all.
