Iran Foreign Ministry: Nasrallah Likely to Visit Tehran
Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will likely visit Tehran, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has said.
Tehran "regularly welcomes top personalities from the Islamic world and since Sayyed Nasrallah is a prominent personality with positive influence on the formation of the national unity cabinet in Lebanon, then it is possible that he could visit Iran," Mehmanparast said Tuesday.
About Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki”s visit to Beirut, the spokesman said the trip came as part of efforts by Iran to show "readiness to expand ties with Lebanon in all fields."
Mottaki met with top Lebanese officials during his one-day visit to Beirut on Monday.
