Valentine’s Day comes around this time of year to help remind us to cherish our significant other. It’s nice to have one day a year that celebrates love and only love. Unfortunately, this celebration of love has become more commercial over the years.
Advertisements, as well as social media, have fueled a somewhat superficial outlook on the day. Honestly, single people quite dislike this little love fest because they’re constantly reminded that they have no one to enjoy this day with. We don’t need expensive gifts or billions of flowers to show the important people in our lives that we love them. A nice gesture speaks volumes, but hey if you want to go overboard that’s your business, but please don’t overshare and make others feel bad. Single people, you don’t need a partner to have a good time, you could always hang out with your friends or even family! No one said Valentine’s Day is reserved for couples only, it’s a day of love, all kinds of love.
